Trouble removing shared notebooks

I have a lot of shared notebooks that I believe are slowing down my Evernote experience since it is trying to sync. When I try to leave them, they come back, but I want to remove them forever. I am using the paid business version and can't believe I need to submit this vs. emailing someone

Hi, and welcome to the forums. These are user-to-user, so we can only report what others have experienced. Are these notebooks that you shared with someone else? You should be able to "un-share" them, I think. If they're notebooks that someone else share with you, then you have to get them to do the un-share. This has been a problem for many years, frankly.

Don‘t think so.

The only cases I know when such shared-to-you orphaned notes and notebooks were removed, it happened by support.
