Unable to connect / check connection and try again

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have just upgraded to Evernote premium to be able to sync my notes to my fairly old but very well functioning iPad (running on 12.5.7), but I can’t seem to be able to login.

I have deleted the old app, and re-uploaded a compatible version. That went through just fine. Unfortunately every time I try to open it, I get an error message right before login in: *Unable to connect to Evernote. Please check your network connection and try again*.

My WiFi works perfectly, so it can’t be that (I also tried my office WiFi just in case but same problem).

I have deleted the app, reinstalled, also did shut down and restart the iPad, but nothing works. Some online threads suggest to login using your 4g, but I don’t have 4g on the iPad, only WiFi.

Does anyone have ideas or suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

Hi! I’m having the same problem as of this morning - the app on my iPhone works fine with my wifi and so does my Windows PC, but I get that exact message on my iPad.  Granted this particular iPad is old, but it has worked previously with Evernote.

What’s really odd is I turned off wi-fi and tried Data but I get the same message!

Glad it’s not just me.

Will post if I find a solution; anyone else have this going on?

This error seems to be coming back to me as well then later it's gone. I can't get a read on this because I checked my connection and up and downstream are great. What is it with Evernote, anybody else thinking about switching to Joplin?

Hi.  I deleted your other post because you're trying to re-open a 2-year old thread on a similar topic.  I considered deleting this one too since it contains no information and seems more like spam for the competition.  Other apps - and other user intentions regarding them - are discussed at great length elsewhere in the forums.  If you actually have a tech query,  maybe post your own thread with full details about your device(s) and situation?
