Wasted Space

Hi All,

Is it just me or has there recently been an update to the UI look/feel? there seems to be much more wasted space.

Considering the application is focused on taking notes, one would think it would have an optimized view for making notes.

IMHO: The "extra" space around everything may offer a sense of simplicity, however, it does not cater to "power" user wanting to take notes.

Ideally there is a "simple" view for newcomers and simple users, and a "compact" view for users who are looking to make "hardcore" notes!.

And, maybe there is a setting that i'm unaware of. And that would be on me since i've been using evernote since 2011 as my primary tool.

I think so to (and so do many others):

I felt a little bad about that flippant remark so a little while later I wanted to then offer a comment with substance -- measurable distance differences between the two. Not just a feeling, but actually much more space in the new UI:
