Background Export/ Synch of Kindle Highlights & Comments

I use my kindle a lot, highlights are essential to me.
Ideally Evernote would use an API to fetch my kindle highlights & commments

Support for Amazon devices has been discontinued:

You shouldn't expect any features to appear on a Kindle device.

A fee-based path:  kindle read by Readwise then into Evernote.  Can also do more with Readwise from other sources and then feed highlights of those into Evernote (or other tools).
