After upgrade can no longer login (Unable to connect to Evernote. Please check your network connection and try again.)

After my OSX desktop client prompted me to install the new version, I can no longer connect the desktop client.

I keep getting error:

Quote

Unable to connect to Evernote. Please check your network connection and try again.

My network connection is fine. I'm using it to type this. I'm using it to log into the website.

Searching it up, this is a known issue going back to at least 2021. There are unresolved threads on it here, herehere, and here.

What the actual f*** how is this possible? I've been a paid user since something like 2010 and now I can't use the client because of an upgrade that's been hosing clients for over two years.

I've tried rolling back to older dmgs as far back as 10.33, they either won't open Monterry (12.5) or if they do, same error. Whatever the new client did, it hosed things completely. I had to download them via Uptodown because you don't make older dmgs available on the site (you used to, apparently).

Also, your AI chat bot is a piece of garbage that simply hands out wrong answers before asking "is there anything else I can help you with?" .

Paid users should have a pathway to support. Not useless chatbots, not unresolved forum posts.

Fix this or I'm cancelling my account.

Hi.

  • Subscribers have full access to Support here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - please note that's not us;  the forums are mainly supported by other Evernote users.
  • Evernote v10 requires some minimum system levels described in detail here
  • Older devices will still run Evernote Legacy,  but those applications are no longer supported and may stop working.
  • Recommended:  if your device is not compliant,  convert to the new app now if you can; otherwise find an alternative provider for your note-taking services.

Thanks for the reply. Was obviously pissed when I typed that and probably should have waited.

Good to know there are support options for paid users and the problem is probably not being on the most recent OSX.

I'd delete the thread but you provided the missing info so I'll leave it for future grumps like me.

You're definitely doomed unless you can give us your device / OS / Evernote version and a quick summary of what you may have tried already..  did you try loggin in with your Evernote username and password forinstance?
