You can disable this warning in Settings --> Preferences --> Application --> Advanced.

The warning should fire when the hard drive has only 5GB of free space.

BTW 4 GB is nothing - your OS is breathing, the  RAM usage may require swapping, the SSD Controller needs room to balance the wear of memory cells.

You should make sure there are always 30GB available, better 50GB.
