feralreason 0
When I enter code (like a MySQL Query) into my note, it is automatically converted to HTML entities. Is there a setting I can use that prevents that? I don't want to have to enter <code></code> tags everytime I save a note concerning code. I would like Evernote to behave like Word or Notepad in this respect, not second guess my intentions. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,163 Posted May 22, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted May 22, 2023 Enter it into a code block - its made for that. Everything else will likely not work - every note is a mini website, controlled by HTML code. EN is driven by it, and when you insert HTML code, EN will take it at face value, and interpret it the way it interprets HTML code. 1 Link to comment
Boot17 1,466
@feralreason Have you tried 'Paste and Match Style'? Cmd-Shift-V on Mac. Cntrl-Shift-V on Windows. 1 Link to comment
feralreason 0
Strangely, I no longer seem to be having this problem. Both directly pasting in a query and putting a query in <code></code> seem to work equally well. Wonder if Evernote has changed something? Link to comment
