Ainsley004 3
Just tried to add some pdfs to EN as individual files but, although the new notes are created, the actual pdf isn't visible, either as an attachment or directly in the note. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks 10.53.2-win-ddl-public (3935) Editor: v165.2.20482 Service: v1.65.0 © 2019 - 2023 Evernote Corporation. All rights reserved Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,073 Posted May 3, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted May 3, 2023 Hi. My ESP seems to be broken, so what's your device / OS / Evernote version and exactly how are you adding these PDFs - import folder / drag-n-drop / attachment?? Are you a subscriber and if not have you recently exceeded your upload limit or are these large PDFs and in excess of your note size limit?? Link to comment

Windows 11 and EN version as per the post. Just dragging a pdf into Desktop EN that normally creates a new note where the pdf shows up as an attachment. file is only 678kb Evernote Personal and no, nowhere near upload limit UPDATE - so it looks as if dragging the pdf to EN just creates a new note with the title of the pdf (and a thumbnail) but I have to then drag the pdf into the note a second time to get it in to the note! This isn't how it worked previously when dragging the pdf would have created the note INCLUDING the attachment. At least I know. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,073 Posted May 3, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted May 3, 2023 Hmmn. My dragged PDFs appear as pages in Win 11 - have you checked your settings > preferences > notes for the default behaviour? If you drop a file and it shows as an icon, can you click the three dots menu from the grey bar and choose Title / Single Page / All pages? Link to comment

The default behaviour is set correctly as single page. weirdly, the attachments do eventually show up but yesterday that was an hour or more after creating the note. The newly created note shows a thumbnail of the attachment immediately so it is clearly doing something on import. Link to comment
