sdfgher 0
Having recently moved to V10 exclusively I was surprised to see a significant difference in size of enex backups. An example is a notebook exported using Legacy ,which is split into 3 files by evernote, with a combined size of 4.58gb. That same notebook exported from V10 in one file is 2.7gb. Is this normal, is V10 compressing files differently? This is a bit concerning and wondering if I need to go back to Legacy to ensure all my notes are being fully backed up. Additional info- 1500 notes in this notebook and there are many images. All attributes are selected when exporting in both versions. Link to comment
Solution sdfgher 0 Posted March 29, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted March 29, 2023 Seems that I didn't give evernote enough time to process files. After prompted that export is complete, evernote continues writing the file. Link to comment

Mike P 2,946
There are some differences between the enex files created by V10 and legacy. The biggest, that I'm aware of, is that if a note contains an image which has been through the EN OCR process the generated data is in the legacy enex but not in the V10 enex. This leads to a significant difference in file size. 1 Link to comment
