whardy 2
Why can't I access files on my Mac without internet? They don't download until I click on them. I"ve been an Evernote user for a many years and have always been able to access these. 1 Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,072 Posted October 21, 2022 Level 5* Share Posted October 21, 2022 Hi. Are you viewing these notes in the Evernote app or via a web browser? What version are you using? The app can keep a copy of the files on your hard drive, but you can choose for it not to do that. The web app doesn't download files by default to save time opening the note. Level 5 PinkElephant 8,829 Posted October 21, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted October 21, 2022 To access your database while offline, you need to stay logged in the last time you were online. Unless you turn this option off, a full download is made to your Macs main drive. When you switch it from off to on (or reinstall the client or the database), it will take a while until the full download is completed. For me it took 3-4 days, but this depends on the database size and the speed of the internet connection. Link to comment
