Can't open new window in Windows

After one of the recent updates, I am no longer able to open new windows in the app. I used to be able to open several notes in separate windows and size them into various sizes but this is no longer working. When I double click a note from the notes list or right-click it and click 'Open in new window', the app does open a new window but it doesn't show. The only place it shows is in the Windows startup bar, when mousing over the open Evernote logo. Here, it shows that there are more windows open than one but the only window that actually loads is the main window that is linked to the app, not any of the additional windows that are created after booting up the app.

Any of you experience this issue before and is there a solution?

I'm not having any issues with the creation of multiple windows - is it possible that this is a Windows  issue with new instances being created 'offscreen' in a phantom window?   https://www.alphr.com/find-recover-off-screen-window-windows-10/

Have you rebooted your PC? Sometimes this can do the trick. Otherwise uninstall with Revo Uninstaller the download and install the latest version and let your data be rebuilt.
