How to find all notes--in a given notebook-- that were not assigned a tag

I am trying to find out if I have any notes that were not assigned a tag. Hey, sometimes I forget to assign one!  Back in the day, I would look at the Notes List View and select Tags. The notes would sort in alphabetical order, with all notes in a given notebook organized by tag. Obviously, tags starting with the letter A would be toward the top. Notice I said "toward the top".  This is because at the very top would be notes without a tag. I could find all notes that I forgot to assign to a tag-- so I could retroactively assign tags to all such notes.

I noticed that trying to find notes without a tag--in a given notebook in Notes List View-- can't be done the old way. How can I find notes in a notebook that haven't yet been assigned a tag?

How about searching for -tag:* ?
