It is possible to disable all shortcuts for Clipper for your browser in Settings > Shortcuts > uncheck Enable keyboard shortcuts
If you use some shortcuts but not others, you could assign the ones you don't want to an unlikely to be used combination.

Or are you requesting a more granular ability beyond that to keep global shortcuts on but disable certain shortcuts and not others without manually reassigning the ones you don't use?

Wow... I have no words.

Me either.  If you have a problem with one of the pre-assigned shortcuts,  you stop all of them.  it's pretty easy to create other options for any other shortcuts that you actually use.  Why is it such an issue for you specifically?

Like the others who raised this years ago, I would like to be able to select which commands I want a shortcut for. For instance, I don't want any shortcut to launch the clipper as it tends to trigger when you don't mean to (and then freeze the page), but that doesn't mean I want to get rid of all of them.

First time I see an app that won't let you disable specific shortcuts. Very disappointing, especially given how long ago this was first raised..

Any URL for this discussion?

My clipper doesn't have a shortcut - I need to select it from my toolbar.

Which shortcuts would you like to keep?

You're not getting out much these days are you.  Tried Windows recently?

Yes, see previous post.

First item in the list of shortcuts in the web clipper settings.

My point is about the ones I want to disable. What difference does this make.

Yes, as well as Linux. Going out plenty every day, thanks for caring.

Anyway, my question was "is it still impossible to disable a keyboard shortcut on Web Clipper?", and the answer is "yes".

Except that it is possible to

  1. Disable ALL shortcuts and (depending on the operation) replace one or two with keyboard macros or third party extensions, or
  2. Modify shortcuts to have unused key combinations ?

Yes, that's exactly it, like others did back in 2015 and 2016.

Would you like me to move this to the Feature Request forum to collect some votes in support?  There've been no further enquiries (that we're aware of) for 6 years or so,  and Evernote are hardly likely to be looking to enhance Clipper in this way anytime soon.  If there's a sudden flood of support then maybe they'll revisit the idea...
