Too many clicks to highlight a note

I use Evernote to read articles on my Android. But recently (it's been a while), I notice that it take so many clicks to highlight. I down press the text, them I have to click the letter symbol, then choose highlight, then choose the color. So many clicks for just a highlight! Is there a faster way?

No. It is a unified way to select whatever tool - it is not always a highlighter you need.
