jiquvox@hotmail.com 0
SInce yesterday my evernote desktop app is stuck into a perpeptual loading screen "getting started" - I closed every evernote background process in task manager - I rebooted three times - I removed the appdata/roaming folder to have the system create a new from scratch (I actually did this 3 times) : it's a trick I learned on this forum and that worked in the past. Nothing works. IT still doesnt get past "getting started". For the record I have about 22000 notes. But this is the first time it's still stuck there in spite of doing all the previous things listed above. Internet does function even though it was kinda slow to start. Any way to solve this ? the web is not a long term solution, not even mid-term. I need the desktop version back to operational pretty fast ( I need to change a significant amount of notes at the same time: editing tag,.) Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,771 Posted November 15, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted November 15, 2021 … the web client is AFAIK able to perform actions like tagging and moving on a selection of notes as well. You can give it a try. Link to comment
jiquvox@hotmail.com 0
Thank you for your answer. But no, it doesnt seem able to select all notes with ctrl+a like in desktop version: I already tried and I am trying again as I am writing. Besides there are various functions that work only in desktop version. Any insight about the basic problem of the desktop version ? Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted November 16, 2021 Evernote Expert Share Posted November 16, 2021 Uninstall completely and remove the data folder left over. Then reinstall and log back in. 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,771 Posted November 16, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted November 16, 2021 Uninstall completely: Get an uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller to help with that job. Select all program parts if necessary, including the data files, then uninstall. Reinstall from the Evernote.com website. Link to comment
