Hi there,

Every email that Evernote sends is cryptographically signed and sent from IP addresses we publish.

If you receive an email from one of the domains listed below, you can trust it:

  • @account.evernote.com
  • @comms.evernote.com
  • @discussion-notification.evernote.com
  • @emails.evernote.com
  • @evernote.com
  • @mail-svc.evernote.com
  • @messages.evernote.com
  • @sparkpostmail.com
  • @notifications.evernote.com
  • @nsvc.evernote.com

If you receive an email that looks like it's from Evernote, but the sender address is not one of the above domains, we did not send it and you should delete it.

I hope this helps to clarify!

I received the email below - Is this a phising attempt?

Validate your email address

Due to our new data retention policy, we need to delete accounts and their data that are no longer active. For this reason, we require our users to validate their email addresses.

To keep your account and your notes up-to-date, just validate your email address: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Validate your email address

What's going to happen to your account if you don't validate your email address?

  • We’ll automatically close your Evernote account.
  • Any remaining files in your account will be subject to deletion.
  • Once your account is closed, you won’t be able to sign in anymore.
