Thijs. 0
Since yesterday's update, when editing my notes, the Mac app interprets my keypresses like a Windows app would. For instance, when pressing Ctrl+A on a Mac, the previous (correct) behaviour is to move the cursor to the beginning of the line. But now it instead selects the entire note (which on a Mac is done with Cmd+A). Evernote version: 10.21.5-mac-ddl-public (2931) Editor: v131.1.16771 Service: v1.39.1 Link to comment

Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted September 17, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted September 17, 2021 No, it is no reset. Something is wrong with the shortcuts on the Mac. In the shortcuts help, none of the documented shortcuts show a use of the „ctrl“ key, not in any of the documented combinations. It is all cmd, opt and shift. I can confirm that ctrl-A does the same as cmd-A, which is not the correct behavior on the Mac. But it is not that simple: Tried with cmd-U (toggle format between underline and plain text), which does the expected, and ctrl-U. Ctrl-U cycles through 3 steps: Underline the selected text, select the text (blue selection highlighter) and show plain text, without selection or underline. Conclusion: Something is broken with shortcuts on the Mac 10.21. 1 Link to comment
