Evernote freezes on my Mac (11.4)

For a few months now, my EN freezes on my Macbook Pro.

I cannot seem to pin the problem to a certain condition.  It seems to happen in either notes or notebooks that are used less frequently.

What happens is that I will select a note and click into the note to edit.  At that point, it just freezes - I never get to edit.  I'll give up after a few minutes and then I have to quit and restart the app; however, that does not always work.

This was never an issue before (I've been using EN for 10 years) and is incredibly frustrating!  Please help.

I have the same problem. I love Evernote but it just isn't reliable anymore.

No freezing on my Mac.

Probably a bad install.

Uncheck „Keep all data on leaving…“ log out and back in.

If unresolved try to uninstall the app, using AppCleaner. Make sure all options are checked before you uninstall 

Reinstall directly from the EN web site, not from the AppStore.

I followed the steps posted by PinkElephant.

• Uninstalled EN via AppCleaner
• Installed EN from the EN website
• Unchecked "Save Data at Logout"

I am still having the same problems which are either unresponsiveness or long delays (20 or more seconds) from when I type (or paste) that it appears on the note.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you, PinkElephant. I deleted EN using CleanMyMac so it got all the files, etc. Then downloaded a fresh copy and installed it. With much anticipation I opened it and low and behold, it works perfectly.

Support is through the clients, but on some it is pretty hidden.
