Green Check Box and ENTER

If I insert a checkbox ( with menu at top of the note) I get a green checkbox. If the checkbox is marked, then inside of the checkbox there is white cross.

This is fine.

 

Problem: after pushing the enter-key for getting a new line, the checkbox changes to a grey one. If it is marked, inside is a check mark and the text is strikethrough. I don't want that. How can I avoid it? I want to use the green checkbox, but I need to copy and paste and if I want to insert a checkbox, it is getting complicated.

You're looking at the new feature for checklists (checkboxes in a list)   
You might be happier just using plain checkboxes with no list

If you want a list, it currently is the checklist, including the auto-conversion, strikeout and all.

Checkboxes in v10 are more like a solitaire layout object, not to be used in lists.

You can try to circumvent the auto-conversion, but it is a permanent effort.

You can search for the threads that ask to stop auto-conversion in the forum, and add your vote.
