Evernote update not showing in Mac app Store

All updates which are available to the Mac app are not showing / flagged as available in the Mac app store. The only way I can get the updates is by searching for Evernote in the App Store, then selecting the application. Then the 'open' icon will change to an 'update' icon. It never shows in the updates section, nor is there a counter on the apple menu when an update is available until all other apps. Any help or ideas?
