codeinaire 6
Since the latest update of v10 for Mac the strikethrough shortcut isn't working. Also, when I upgraded from v9 to v10 the underline and italic shortcuts didn't work and they still don't work with the latest v10 update. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? Or anything else you'd need to know about to help resolve this issue? Below is other information from About Evernote window: Editor: v119.1.15375 Service: v1.30.2 Also, I'm enjoying v10. Except on Android it can be a bit slow. Other than that it's great! Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted March 15, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted March 15, 2021 You can review and partly change keyboard shortcuts in the EN help menu. 1 Link to comment
TonyLim 50
All the formatting works for me. Bold, underline and italic, strikethrough, etc. Maybe you can review the keyboard shortcuts. They might have changed. 10.9.10-mac-mas-public (458488) Editor: v119.1.15375 Service: v1.30.2 © 2019 - 2021 Evernote Corporation. All rights reserved 1 Link to comment
codeinaire 6
@PinkElephant@TonyLim I checked the shortcuts for these formatting and they haven't changed, nor can I change them. And, more importantly, they still don't work. I'd like to resolve this issue but not entirely sure how. I'm running a MacBook Pro Mid 2015 with Big Sur v11.4. I'm going to have a look into if there are any MacOS global shortcuts that are overriding the shortcuts in Evernote for these formatting items. That's the only thing I can think which could be preventing them from working. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted August 4, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 4, 2021 Open the shortcuts, by the icon left sidebar at the bottom or the help menu. When you hover with the mouse over a shortcut, a 3 dot menu appears at the beginning of the individual shortcut. Open it, you see the option to edit the shortcut. This now works for all shortcuts, not only the global ones. Link to comment
TonyLim 50
I am leaving EN (or sort of left). No longer spending time in EN. Hope @PinkElephant has answered your question. Link to comment
codeinaire 6
@PinkElephantLike I was saying before the Text formatting shortcuts are not editable. There are some, showing the ellipsis, that are editable, like this one. My cursor is over the top of "Move forward". It's not shown because when Mac takes a screenshot it hides it. In this case my cursor is over the top of "Bold" which, as you can see, doesn't have the ellipsis. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,863 Posted August 5, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 5, 2021 You are right, I only tried in the upper part of shortcuts. No idea whether a general setting or another app (can be a tiny menu bar helper) captured them on your Mac. Both work on my Mac (11.5.1, EN 10.18.3). Link to comment
