mrhappy99 0
I've been using ScanSnap with Evernote for at least five years, and I recently updated my Evernote Windows 10 app to 10.4.4. From what I've read, I'm glad I waited. But there is still a nagging issue related to ScanSnap imports. It's that after every individual document is scanned, Evernote throws a message that the import is complete. Is there any way to suppress this message? When I have many different documents to scan and import, it is time-consuming and clunky to have to click through the OK button every time. This was not the case with the old version, which I may need to go back to if there is no 'fix' in sight. Also, there is a bug in this version (not related to ScanSnap) where when you attempt to drag and drop multiple selected Notes to a different Notebook, it only moves one Note. Link to comment
Bluecamp 1
I'm here for the same question. Why all of a sudden do we need to have an Import Complete popup stating Evernote placed the imported note when Evernote launces and and we can see the message did import. This is insanity! I scanning from SnapScan into Evernote v 10.5.7 build 2171 Link to comment
mrhappy99 0
Is there someone from Evernote that can comment on this? I'm about to revert to the old Windows Evernote app. Link to comment

This is exactly what I wanted. My delete key works again, instead of having to use ctrl+backspace, I can print my documents now instead of this silly message that pops up telling me, paraphrase; "fairies are working right now and do I want to wait"???? Serious, Evernote, lets be more professional as cute isnt working for me, not when I'm trying to print a document and can't. Images like receipts aren't blown up on the monitor, they are move like the actual size I scanned them as well as other scans. The online version appears to me as going backwards. Why take away basic functions that simply work. Thanks again! 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,771 Posted December 28, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted December 28, 2020 You can install the new version side by side, in case you want to test it with new releases. Link to comment

I'm about to revert to the old Windows Evernote app. Probably not. These are primarily uer peer support forums. Occasionally EN staff are about and may comment but that is infrequent. Even if the pop-up confirmation box was to be removed it would likely be awhile before you might see it change. In any case, EN staff are on Christmas/New Year leave so nobody is here to comment except us. The ScanSnap situation is much improved since the Beta testing phase and, indeed, initial release of version 10. But v10 is not the place to be if your workflow requires the v6.25 functions. For now stick with the legacy and enjoy a calm life Or run both together if you want to follow the new developments and work out when you feel able to make the switch. Link to comment
missWebsite 0
Has anyone figure out how to stop this pop up? its driving me nuts. If I forget to click OK, then scansnap locks up. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,771 Posted September 28, 2022 Level 5 Share Posted September 28, 2022 I don’t use the ScanSnap to EN process at all. I use scan to folder, have it OCRed and give it a good file name in ScanSnap Manager (you can run ScanSnap Home as well, I think). Then I save it from the ScanSnap application into an import folder. The file name will become the title of the new note - creating a good file name avoids rework. EN grabs it from the import folder, and creates the note in the connected notebook. Link to comment
mrhappy99 0
Since I made the original post, I have found that with my installation, I can power through scanning additional documents without clicking OK and without the lock-up that @missWebsiteexperiences. And now I’ve upgraded to Windows 11 without any Evernote or ScanSnap issues (to my surprise). I’m on EN version 10.45.18 and ScanSnap Manager version 7.2 L50. Coincidentally (and unrelated to this issue), I’ve switched to a similar process that @PinkElephantdescribes above for receipts. I scan a batch to a Windows folder, add the vendor name to the front of the file name, and then drag and drop the batch of PDF files to an EN folder, which creates a separate note for each receipt. The multiple drag and drop issue I reported in my original post seems to have been fixed. I made this process change mostly to increase the accuracy my EN searches. OCR doesn’t always cut it, especially with receipts. Link to comment
