Paste in code block introduces newlines

I am using the new mac app (v10.3.7). Pasting into the middle of a code block adds extra newlines.

Steps to replicate:

Initial text without whitespace

Cut text from the middle (⌘X)

Paste text back in the same place (⌘V)

This bug slows me down considerably when editing code, to the point that I might have to stop using code blocks.

The Windows client also had issues with newlines but that seems like an encoding issue. This appears to be different.

This singular issue might make me switch to a different note taking app since I use this feature so much.

I'm still seeing this issue on 10.10.5. Is seems minor but ends up being a real bother with code-heavy notes. Please fix!

@PinkElephant I've reported it. Got the standard canned response, "Unfortunately, I'm unable to provide a time frame of when this will be fixed."

Yes, this is sort of a standard. Guys in support can hardly define how to handle bugs - especially one like this, that is causing additional effort, but is not mission critical like an app crashing.

Using large font makes large text, not large  bugs.

Category 1: System crashes

Category 2: App crashes

Category 3: Data loss

….

Category 99: An extra line is inserted when pasting into a code block

Case you disagree, issue a support ticket and explain why an undesired line of text makes for a major bug. Good luck !
