Maanvogel 1
Hi there, I wish I had not upgraded. Evernote was working fine, but now it is not automatically starting up to the system tray anymore. How to solve this? You only can minimize to a kind of useless (stupid) notepad and not to the whole application anymore. I used to love how it was working, but this upgrade only makes it cumbersome. Level 5* gazumped 12,052 Posted November 11, 2020 Level 5* Share Posted November 11, 2020 Most missing features in Evernote 10 will -probably- come back in due course. Meantime there's always the legacy version... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote 1 Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted November 11, 2020 Evernote Expert Share Posted November 11, 2020 Auto start-up is easy enough to do for oneself. Copy the shortcut for the program to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup Once the promised options reappear perhaps this method will be unnecessary. I agree that the system tray icon options are unhelpful. But I know that during the beta process the scratchpad idea was liked by some. Personally, I'd move the scratchpad to a right-click option and leave the opening of the program to left-click as it was previously. Apart from anything else the scratchpad creates a note in the default notebook so I have to open the full program and move it to a better location, add tags etc. I might just as well open a new note in the program and go from there.
