Level 5 PinkElephant 8,174 Posted September 23, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted September 23, 2020 Some posts in the forum miss options like business cards or Post-It scans. Here is how for Business Cards: When on the start screen, click on the „up arrow“ at the right of the „new note“ button. Choose „Scan document“. The camera opens. Hold it on a business card, it will select it, detect the business card property and create a new note with the business card plus extracted information. If it does not detect it as a business card automatically, you have a miniature picture of the photo taken under the camera view. To the right is a pencil symbol. When you click on it, you get a next screen with a „save as“ at the bottom. Below is a selection, where you can select the document type as business card. However, the picture will not be that good, so better try again until it auto-selects. In the new note there will be some fields with extracted information plus a picture of the card. If you need it, take another picture of the back of the card using the camera behind the blue +-button when in editing mode, and close the note to save it. When you are inside of a note already, you can use the blue + button and select camera as well. Scan the card, save it. When it was detected as a business card, it will save, but it will be inside of a new note, containing the fields and the picture. It will not save to the note from which the scan was started. 1 Link to comment

Level 5 Solution PinkElephant 8,174 Posted September 23, 2020 Author Level 5 Solution Share Posted September 23, 2020 Yes, true, but this is not specific to EN. I use a dedicated business card scanner, where you can even select the country from which the card origins (which leads to different formats, Altered ZIP codes, languages etc.), but even there I have to manually edit the scanned results. With business cards a dictionary does not work either that OCR software usually has in the background to correct on spelling. So this is pretty much what you get when scanning cards. Link to comment
