Level 5* gazumped 11,666 Posted July 2, 2020 Level 5* Share Posted July 2, 2020 Hi. There are various ages and formats of PDF - maybe this one isn't accessible for Evernote. I've not seen your issue before - did you create both these PDFs or is one / are both downloads from email or a website? If you have a PDF editor it may help to open the PDF and re-save it. PDF's do come with a variety of security levels - maybe this one is set to restrict copying and that disables Evernote's display. If so you probably won't be able to edit it. Link to comment
intense 0
Hi. The sentences that cannot be unattached are files uploaded via uniFLOW Online. Is it possible to investigate by attaching the original file of the text that cannot be removed? Link to comment
intense 0
Although there is a difference in the PDF generation process, When viewed in Browser, you can switch the preview display. Is there any difference with Windows App? Link to comment

OK, but are these files you have created/ scanned, or files acquired from a third party or website? 11 hours ago, intense said: Is it possible to investigate by attaching the original file of the text that cannot be removed? If you're asking me to have a look at the file, then no. I'm just another user with no special PDF knowledge. "text that cannot be removed..." are you looking to display this file or remove it? intense 0
Hi.One is a PowerPoint file saved as a PDF, and the other is scanned with a copier. What I scanned is not displayed as a preview in Windows App.However, the preview display is possible with WebBrowser. Link to comment

If so, try right clicking it... untick 'view as attachment'. If that's not what you see, can you post a screenshot of the note please? Link to comment
intense 0
Look at the image in the top thread.Files saved as PDF can be undisplayed as attachments, but scanned files cannot be unlocked because they are grayed out. Link to comment

It appears to be a small PDF file, but all my similarly small files - receipts and such - display correctly and will toggle between icon and inline. Have any of these scanned files displayed correctly on the desktop? Maybe the scanner is not producing valid PDF files... although again On 7/7/2020 at 1:39 AM, intense said: What I scanned is not displayed as a preview in Windows App.However, the preview display is possible with WebBrowser. Sorry (again) - have to suggest you contact Support so they can look into this... Link to comment
intense 0
Hi. The'view as attachment' is grayed out. You can double-click the PDF to check the contents, but the preview is not displayed. Even if I ask the scanner manufacturer to change the specifications, I do not know how to change the specifications and cannot tell. Is there any good way? For example, you need to comply with ISO 32000-2. Link to comment
