juneloon 3 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 When trying to share tweets to Evernote from the Twitter app I get the following text instead: You are on Twitter Mobile because you are using an old version of Firefox. Learn more here It stores the link to the original tweet, but nothing else. It use to clip the tweet plus any replies in the thread, and the title would have the name of the alias, etc. Now I only get the text above and the title says "Twitter". I'm currently using an LG ThinQ with Android 8.0, Evernote v8.4.1 and Twitter v7.65.1 release 1062, but the problem started a few months ago on a Nexus 6P.
Level 5* gazumped 12,224 Posted October 9, 2018 Level 5* Posted October 9, 2018 Hi. Don't know why you'd get a Firefox error. I seem to be going through a phase of getting "Clipping..." holding notes for web pages or tweets from Android, but when I tried a clip from Twitter I at least did get an untitled "Clipping..." note with what looks like the correct URL. The first and easiest suggestion is - try uninstalling / restarting and reinstalling your Evernote Android app. As you seem to be a Plus subscriber you can also raise a support request on https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new, or https://twitter.com/evernotehelps if that link won't work for you. (We're a -mainly- user supported forum, so under-the-hood technical questions aren't easy to deal with here.)
juneloon 3 Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 Uninstalled/reinstalled the Evernote app and first couple of tests have retrieved the body of the tweet, but nothing for the title. Tweets with multiple replies only returned the main tweet. But at least I'm getting some text now. Thanks for the tip, hope I don't have to keep uninstalling/re-installing to fix this issue. Will try the other links if this breaks again.
