How would the total amount be located in the scanned receipts?  Is this a Scansnap feature?

My solution is to include the amount in the note title.
I copy these titles into a spreadsheet, parsing the data into columns.  Its an easy exercise to add up the totals.

There are other requests to add a sum feature to columns in a table
