Rahul Tomar 0
Hi , It just hangs over the same screen without doing anything, the green circle keep on circling all the time. But when I open the same link on safari it shares immediately to evernote. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,713 Posted January 7, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted January 7, 2016 Hmmn. So you're sharing from the Twitter app to Evernote, and the Twitter web page to Evernote, but only the web page works? Not sure why that would be. Have you tried a support request? Submit your Activity Log too - scroll to the bottom of this page to click the 'Contact Support' button. Link to comment
Level 5 cifip 270 Posted January 11, 2016 Level 5 Share Posted January 11, 2016 Hi, We have some updates to the share extension in the next version that should help this, but may not fully resolve it. When sharing from any app to Evernote using the share extension, we're trying to process what that app passes into our share extension. We need to parse that information to find the URL (and any redirects to the final URL), then load that page and grab the title and generate a thumbnail. Sharing from Safari is great because it passes in the final URL and nothing more. When sharing from an app that passes along more information, this can be troublesome. In the case of the Twitter app, it passes in more information in addition to a URL that is redirected to a mobile URL, and their mobile site is very difficult to clip well (from their app or Safari). We've had similar issues pop up with the share extension while sharing from "news aggregators" as well as other 3rd party apps that formerly worked well when those developers made recent changes. We're constantly on the lookout for issues and appreciate your alerting us as you come across them. Thanks, Chuck Link to comment
