Part of the reason for this apparently was an upgrade to the underlying Chromium code, which is probably responsible for a lot of the hot-mess quality of Evernote for Windows in recent versions. Slowly they've been fixing things. The uneditable binary user.dic mentioned in that thread seems to have been replaced by text-based dictionary files. But the online spelling Help indicates that spell-check is only available on a Mac. "If you use Evernote for Windows or Evernote Web, you may right-click a word to see spelling correction suggestions, but there is currently no spell check feature." I would like to hang a very faint hope on that "currently," but I don't know if that's wise. Link to comment
