Remove formatting

While in the settings the text formatting is adjustable, there's no option in the text area to set everything to the default, or like in gmail "remove formatting".

EDIT: Done! In the latest version of Mac app this function is available from menu Format->Simplify Formatting

I can find this function in web interface. But it seems not available in Mac application..

In Mac application:

Select by mouse ugly text and go to the main menu item "Format" and click on "Make Plaine Text"

It would be more convenient if the button to remove the formatting is available in the text editor. I use this option too often. I assumed that the option was not available, until I found this thread.

I still am unable to remove formatting. Where is the "Format"? I don't see it in the text editor.

There is no 'format' option in the OSX menu bar.

I'm on v135.2.17285

Anyways, the workaround for me was to apply normal text formatting to a text selection.

Not exactly the same, but good enough in most scenarios.

@jxsh Just to mention it: This whole thread is about a problem in EN Mac 7.14, now called „legacy“.

You post a solution not available there, because it was only introduced with the new v10 client.

Please check before reopening old threads to add some new, but unrelated experience. Other users may fall into the same pattern and end up utterly confused.
