Penultimate note turned into a BIN file (& I can't even open that)

I took a handwritten note, like I always do. I opened it up later & looked at it, no problem. Then a day or so later I went to look at the note again & it wasn't really there. The note name is there but it is blank. In Penultimate it says 0 pages. When I go to Evernote on my iPad & it has a "File Clip?" If I go to Evernote on my Mac I was able to download a BIN file, which when I try & open it it opens a cpgz file, when I click on the cpgz file it creates a bin file & round & round I go. Now when I go to Evernote on my Mac it shows in the "preview" of the note an icon for BIN, but the note on the right is Blank. HELP!! Not only do I NEED my note back, but I'm terrified this will happen to other notes. I have NO idea how it happened (that would be nice to know too). Thanks for your help.

Hi.  Sorry this response took a while - we're a (mainly) user-supported Forum so posts get read when other users have time to look back through them...

As to your query - if this is still an issue,  I can't offer you much in the way of fixes;  on standard Note content there's a Note History option which could get you back to this note's orignal content.  It's a paid-for feature,  more information at the link.

How this may have happened,  or any other comment is really a Support issue - https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action if you're a paying customer,  tweet https://twitter.com/evernotehelps if not.

Thank you SO much!! That was terrifying not being able to access the note & fear that it would happen again to other notes. That worked like a charm, also thank you for the support link, I couldn't find that either.
