maccrazy 1 Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I took a handwritten note, like I always do. I opened it up later & looked at it, no problem. Then a day or so later I went to look at the note again & it wasn't really there. The note name is there but it is blank. In Penultimate it says 0 pages. When I go to Evernote on my iPad & it has a "File Clip?" If I go to Evernote on my Mac I was able to download a BIN file, which when I try & open it it opens a cpgz file, when I click on the cpgz file it creates a bin file & round & round I go. Now when I go to Evernote on my Mac it shows in the "preview" of the note an icon for BIN, but the note on the right is Blank. HELP!! Not only do I NEED my note back, but I'm terrified this will happen to other notes. I have NO idea how it happened (that would be nice to know too). Thanks for your help.
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,630 Posted October 7, 2017 Evernote Expert Posted October 7, 2017 Hi. Sorry this response took a while - we're a (mainly) user-supported Forum so posts get read when other users have time to look back through them... As to your query - if this is still an issue, I can't offer you much in the way of fixes; on standard Note content there's a Note History option which could get you back to this note's orignal content. It's a paid-for feature, more information at the link. How this may have happened, or any other comment is really a Support issue - https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action if you're a paying customer, tweet https://twitter.com/evernotehelps if not.
maccrazy 1 Posted October 7, 2017 Author Posted October 7, 2017 Thank you SO much!! That was terrifying not being able to access the note & fear that it would happen again to other notes. That worked like a charm, also thank you for the support link, I couldn't find that either.
