I have this same problem. It's essentially making clicking on a tag useless as virtually no tags are set up like this.| Personally I'd love the option (set in preferences) to set it up such that when I click a tag it automatically brings up a "ANY of these tags or sub tags" (using ANY logic, not ALL OF). But the way it works not is completely useless. I can't tell if it's a bug or just a strange UI decision.
