  1. I do not have EN as an extension to add as a choice in System Preferences. I install EN via the App Store. I would swear I had the Share extension in the past. Regardless, how do I get the extension?...Reinstall EN?
  2. Hello. In the release notes for EN/Mac 10.32.4, it states as a new feature: "When you filter your tags, you can now choose whether to include any sub-tags as well. That'll make it easier to see what you need." Can anyone share how this feature presents itself? Before updating, I can filter tags as shown in the attachment. After updating, I can see the same interface. Where does this feature manifest itself? TIA DVOLLC
  3. Good to know it was not unique with me. While not intuitive, I can work with this strangeness. Thank you for your time and insight.
  4. Good deal @Mike P. Good to know. @agsteele, At first I thought..."Duh. Why didn't I think of that!" However, when I went to do what you suggest, the Save As Template choice is greyed out. Looking further, I see it is greyed out on most - not all - of my notes. I looked through the forums for insight but did not find any. Do you (or anyone) know the criteria that determines this situation?
  5. Hello. Does anyone know how to regenerate Evernote's auto-generated meeting note when a Google Calendar event is about to take place? I have connected my Google Calendar to Evernote and in Evernote's Calendar settings, I have enabled "Pre-format notes I create from events". As a result, when I have a meeting on my calendar, I get an advanced notification to the event with an option to take notes using an Evernote template. (MacOS) I love this feature and take advantage of it. However, there was an instance where I mistakenly did not take the option and recognizing the mistake, looked for a way to get a note from the template generated. Since I could not find a way, I quickly created my own on the fly. Does anyone know how to regenerate the note that Evernote generates for me when a Calendar event is coming up? The template is not in my template gallery. TIA. -dvollc
  6. As a user, I want to be able to create a task from any webpage. To go beyond my role of the goal I want achieved, I see "Task" as a clip format that would provide access somehow to Task attributes.
  7. You are missing the point of my question@PinkElephant. I know I what did and have opened access to my calendar from other apps which I actively manage. However, this was the first time Google has presented me with such a message. I was only looking for what I was asking. Nothing more.
  8. Hello. Google presented me with a message as shown in the attached. Is this a normal Google warning when invoking Evernote's capability to integrate with a Google Calendar? Thank you. Google's Evernote warning.pdf
  9. Whoa! As you said, it works! Let me add that if one has multi-word tags (as I do), one needs to surround the tag with quotation marks. Thanks @eric99!
  10. Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the Tag widget available to the Home dashboard. What determines the sort order of the tags listed? Once known, can the sort order be changed by the users? Thanks in advance.
  11. Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the construction of a Boolean search. I want to a search result from notes who have Tag A or Tag B or Tag C or Tag... I'm aware of the Any: operator but Any:Tag A Tag B Tag C returns an empty list when I was expecting dozens of notes. As a result, it seems to me that one cannot nest operators. Do you know if there is a way of executing a search for a Tag A or Tag B or Tag C? Is it that one cannot nest operators? Thank you.
  12. I often come across an email that is a task for me. I'd like to have that email become an Evernote task. Does anyone know the options to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.
  13. ok you've piqued my interest... How do I or can you point me to a reference on how to do a boolean-equivalent search?
  14. Your snide comment aside, I more than get the invested hours as I have lived in that a world for a number of years. And I have no idea why you think my comment implies EN is a charity. My whining attitude was to simply have someone in product management scratch their chin when looking at their feature/function list across plans.
  15. I am a huge Evernote fan. I have been using it for a number of years. I have thousands of notes used for a wide range of purposes. However, I must admit that I am annoyed by the fact that my Personal plan limits my widgets to one. Why is it that Evernote Marketing decided that a personal use of their product does not need to have multiple filtered notes, pinned notes or scratch pad widgets? Or that a personal user does not need to use Boolean terms to refine search results? I get the separation with Professional users with connectivity to 3rd party collaboration tools and even advanced PDF integration (e.g. exporting). However, no multiple widgets or Boolean? C’mon. Really?
  16. Currently, the three dots to allow for a saved search is available when you use the Search field. Is there a reason why those three dots do not appear when I use the Filter? My goal in using the Filter is the same in using the Search field. The advantage of the Filter is the UI in performing my search. Would you please consider adding a Saved Search from filtered notes as you do with a Search result?
  17. Hi. I know how to create a note from an email. Is it possible to create a task from an email? i have not been able to find anything on this. -dvollc
  18. It's been over a week since 10.9 has been announced as released. Yet, I don't have it available for downloading from the App Store. Please make it available. Thank you. -DaverDee
  19. What is the typical turnaround time between an update announcement and App Store availability? I use EN on my Mac. There was a new version announced on Wed. As of today (Tues), I don't see it from the Mac App Store. How long does it take for the update to be available after the announcement?
  20. Hello jvmatl. Is there a reason why you can't leverage macOS' screen capture? While I run macOS Big Sur, I believe the Shift-CMD-4 combo worked in Catalina too.
  21. My request assumes a list is created by multiple notes. I am wondering if the EN product managers and the EN user population disagrees with the assumption because when I look at the EN templates provided (Weekly Planner and To-Do specifically), they are lists using one note. To me, the power of EN comes from the organization of multiple notes. Each note can have its own combination of tags. A list comprising of multiple notes allows me to look at the multiple notes from different perspectives. Having a list comprising of one note means each item in the list has the same tags. There is no way to relate an item on the single note list with information on other notes. I find this extremely limiting and ignores the flexibility offered with multiple note based lists. Currently, in following the multiple note list approach, I use saved searches as my means of creating lists. The issue I have and as pointed out in my feature request, is that all saved search output have the same columns and sort structure. Having the saved search include the column and sort definitions greatly enhances what saved searches produce. Do you see my point? Or, is it just too easy to use one note to create a list vs the trouble of having to create the saved searches? Thanks for the opportunity to post.
  22. I’d like the ability to have multi-level sort capability by tag for note lists. The beauty of tags is the one-to-many relationship that can be established between a note and a tag. I take advantage of this ability including nesting tags. In my use case of an Evernote implementation for GTD, I have a set of Priority tags and Action tags. My Priority tags are: Priority Priority:Critical Priority:Important Priority:Nice to have My Action tags are: Action Action:Read Action:Listen Action:Watch Action:Followup Valuable lists can be produced with Priority as the first level sort and Action the second level. Another valuable list can be produced with the opposite - Action as the first level sort followed by Priority as the second level. This is only one use case. Given that there will be numerous tags used with a note, presenting a list of all tags to define the multi-level sort makes my ask universal.
  23. Let me further describe what I am requesting as I don't think I was clear... Evernote’s output is a list of notes. From all the notes, one can filter using either the query language or the UI. The list structure is defined by a set of columns and a sort by one of those columns. There is one structure definition for all lists. You can change the structure definition by adding/removing columns and you can change the sort. However, the changes are then applied for all lists. When a list is saved, it is called a Saved Search as the filter is saved in some entity for future use. When a Saved Search is re-opened, the filter is applied - along with the current columns/sort defined for all lists. I am requesting the columns and sort to be saved along with the filter when creating a Saved Search.
  24. Currently (as I understand it), there is one set of column and sort attributes for all views. I leverage saved searches to help me with my GTD implementation with Evernote. It would be of high value to have each saved search hold onto the columns and sorting I defined for that view.
