I have seen people fighting with you for over 8 years over a lock password on the desktop version. I am a software developer and use Evernote to store my knowledge base (like code and notes). I don't keep passwords or sensitive information. However, I miss a blocking PIN very much. Even if they say "Data is not encrypted", we need this for a first level lock. It doesn't have to be something out of this world, just a local lock ... The PIN does not have to be available on your server, it may just be local encryption. What if I forget to lock my computer? Couldn't Evernote give me a minimum of data security? What if I'm sick and need to pass my computer access to someone else? This may not be necessary in large companies, but in the small majority it happens a lot. So, I beg, just a PIN, just an instant lock.
