  1. Thanks for the very detailed analysis above acheong87. I just posted elsewhere but will echo what others are saying here in case Evernote dev is reading this. Opening a very long note and then trying to type in it is impossible. You enter a keystroke and nothing happens for a second. During the same Evernote session, I can open a new note and enter text on the screen as fast as I can type. This is new as the note in question is one I use during a monthly meeting with a key partner -- had to switch to using Word for today's meeting! Details on what version of Evernote client and Mac OS I am running are below. And note, I TRIED the options suggested elsewhere of changing the "KEep a copy of my notes on this device at sign-out", log out, reboot, etc -- no joy. The problem exists. Hoping for a solution as I use Evernote everyday and have for many years - hence some notes that are several years old, but should not represent a massive amount of storage / memory needed at all. Thanks Evernote client: 10.82.2-mac-ddl-public (20240327123857) Editor: v177.12.1 Service: v1.98.1 © 2019 - 2024 Evernote Corporation. All rights reserved Mac OS: Ventura 13.5.2 Apple M2 Chip
  2. Running the latest client on my Mac (see below for info on version and Mac OS) and am baffled by the incredibly slow typing response on an existing long note. It is literally taking seconds per key stroke. A new note, types as normal. Fresh reboot of the machine did NOTHING. I followed some of the advice in this thread including unchecking the option to save all notes locally, sign out, etc - no joy. Evernote, please help!!!!!!! I think this began with the latest or one of the latest updates. Thanks 10.82.2-mac-ddl-public (20240327123857) Editor: v177.12.1 Service: v1.98.1 © 2019 - 2024 Evernote Corporation. 3. I too am now getting the "Low hard drive space detection and warning dialog" with the latest update. MacBook Pro - M1 chip MacOS Ventura 13.0 17GB of storage space available on a 245GB drive - is Evernote suggesting it wants MORE than 7% free hard drive space to operate -- for an app I enter text notes into? Please revisit this new addition to Evernote that came with 10.58.5
  4. THIS IS AWFUL! I am running (no, I am crawling) with version 10.8.5-mac-ddl-public on my Mac which is running Mac OS Big Sur 11.2. And literally Evernote now cannot keep up with my typing. I've been a long-time subscriber to Evernote for many years and use it daily. The latest updates to the client have been a major step backwards in performance. I've suffered: 1. Notes opening which are blank 2. Typing into a note (large note as it is a running log of notes from one client) results in lag time between typing and text appearing on the screen that I am reminded of using dial-up 300bps models (or less) back when dinosaurs roamed the cooling earth. Evernote - your quality has really slipped with these latest code revisions. If things don't improve, I will be moving to a new Notes platform out of necessity as I take notes daily at work on calls, etc. Hope you will fix this. You've been a great app over the years, but performance of late is very poor.
