  1. PDFs that are imported through the Import Folders functionality are always presented with the PDF Single Page view. There is a Settings Preference for PDF views that should be utilized when creating these notes. It doesn't make sense to ignore that preference when you import through a folder but to honor the preference setting when you interactively import a PDF while editing a note.
  2. I was having the same problems reported by SandalsMan this past week, but after restarting the application today it seems to be fixed.
  3. I have a Filtered Notes widgets using only the "Located in" filter are showing "no notes found" in the iOS version, but correctly show results in the web version. This is only happening in one of my widgets for a particular folder. If I adjust the filter to a different folder it will show results but there is no reason why it wont work for this particular folder. All of the Filtered Notes widgets on the home screen have their Widget name hyperlinked, but when you click on the name it does nothing in iOS (whereas it does correctly link you to the filtered results in the web version)
  4. I can ask ChatGPT to clean up my notes after I take them in Evernote, but Evernote has still decided to add "AI Cleanup" to the application, removing the need for me to utilize two different applications. I am not sure "free alternative" availability should trump the prioritization of feature enhancement requests.
  5. In the 15 years that I have been using Evernote I have wanted this functionality frequently and I find this functionality creeps into my workflow on almost a daily basis. Whether it is a document I have scanned or a screenshot I snapped, I would quite often like to extract the text from the image. Google Photos and iOS Photos app added this functionality in recent years. I don't see why this would not be relevant to others who use Evernote as a document storage solution, particularly for scanned images that flow directly into my Evernote application.
  6. The "Copy Text from Image" capability found in Google Photos should be the model for this functionality. It is easy to copy all or some of the text that is recognized on the page. I don't want to do this in a separate application as a workaround.
  7. Agreed @Jlynn100111 - Support has been nonexistent. A first level support person spent days collecting information and then passed me on and I have heard nothing. I have asked for updates on the situation and nothing. Without some type of root cause to the disappearance of these notes I don't how I can continue to pay for something that is unpredictable without some means for recovery. If I continue using Evernote I will definitely need to backup more often, but the trust with the service was one of those things that made this so attractive. Without that I am left to manage backups and it just isn't that easy to backup the entire database or just incremental notes with the tools provided from the company.
  8. A few more details: The notes were all created within a number of minutes. Possibly unrelated, but I appeared to be logged out of the Evernote Mac OS app yesterday (the day following the creation of these mystery notes). I was unable to successfully login after multiple restarts of the app and my computer. The app would just sit on the initial login page and never progress to prompting me for a password after I entered a valid userID or email. I eventually removed the application this morning and reinstalled Evernote. It wasn't until then that I realized a large number of notes appear to be missing/corrupted. I have checked the Trash and my original notes are not there. I would expect to see my notes in the Trash or showing as updates to an existing note that I could revert back to an old version. I have been a long time Evernote customer and never seen any unreliability in the storing of my very important data, but this is concerning at this point in time. Hopefully we can get back to the original notes.
  9. Hundreds of my notes are showing as created and updated on July 27. Each of these notes has no history (only a "Current version") and there is no additional information (like a URL even though I know many of these are web clips). Each of these notes are notes that I created sometime in the past that I now appear to have lost the contents of. Is there a system problem? Can these notes be recovered?
  10. <button> is markup. The <button> is no different than <div>, <h1>, <p>, etc. Somehow by the magic of technology the clipper "clips" div, h1, p, etc. AND somehow it ignores/removes button. Just don't remove it (shocking idea!!) What I expect is a functional application. No need to over complicate the request.
  11. The problem is "the text of the button" is missing from the clipped content - not the functionality of the button. I also don't want a button to do anything in Evernote, but I do expect a clip to include all relevant meaningful text on a page, and this would include button text in all cases that jump to mind for me. Why would you purposefully exclude the text of the button? There is no ask here to make buttons work in clipped content. Just capture the information from the page (not the functionality from the page).
  12. Taking a screenshot is not an acceptable workaround. Any page that has a button element will have this problem. Here is an example page: https://html.com/tags/button/ If you clip this page you will be missing the text "Click Me!" because it is included within a button element. I am not sure why you would not include the text of a button when I clip the entire page.
  13. I frequently clip recipes from the America's Test Kitchen site. They wrap some of their ingredients in a button tag and the Web Clipper is not capturing that as part of the clipped page. This information is critical to capturing a recipe. If button elements cause problems for some people perhaps you can offer a configurable setting. Otherwise I would suggest including this text as part of the page that is captured. You can see in my screenshot that "hoisin sauce" is part of the button element and when I view the recipe in Evernote I only see this: GATHER YOUR INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons 1 tablespoon It needs to say "2 tablespoons hoisin sauce" otherwise this is worthless to me.
  14. Notes that are shared through a folder are not appearing correctly in results. The correct number of results are being reported but the results appear visually as shown in the attachment. If there are any search results from notes owned by the account searching they will appear correctly, but any shared notes are not displayed correctly.
