I use Notes on my iPhone very often. I also use Evernote plenty, but the reason why I still use Notes more, is because I can tell Siri to add a note without actually opening the app or typing it in.

When you have a million things going on at once, it is very useful to just TELL Siri to add it. Since iOS 10 is allowing for better integration with Siri for 3rd-party apps, will this be an added feature? If so, this would be great.

    Thanks

    Hi,

iOS 10 is opening up Siri in limited categories. Evernote doesn't fit those categories, and we're looking forward to expanded Siri categories in upcoming OS versions.

    Cheers,

I'm still waiting for this feature.  It is one of the major things that keeps from diving into Evernote full on.  Other programs can do it.  Why can't Evernote???

    Hi,

We have a new note editor coming soon that will allow us to build out features such as this more easily. Displaying PDFs in-line is a feature we will consider for a future release.

    Cheers,

  3. Hi all,

The easiest way to accomplish account switching on iOS at this time is by using a password manager app. We specifically integrated with 1Password with the iOS 7.11 release. You can store multiple users and passwords within that app, and then sign out and in as necessary.

It is not currently possible to actively sync more than one account within any Evernote client at this time. While the desktop clients give easier switching capabilities, only one account is active. We'll consider easier account switching for a future release.

    Cheers,
    Chuck

Even the ability to switch between multiple accounts (logging out and back in ) would be perfect if the ability to cache both databases locally isn't possible.

    Hi,

If you log into more than one account on the same device, the database for each account is cached on the device. Only the actively logged into account will sync to the Evernote service however.

  5. Hi Robert,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree this would be helpful, but I've struggled with this one. A "clean" version of a web page is not always available to clip, and without visual feedback like the desktop has users might be caught off-guard later by clipping less than they intended. Desktops have the benefit of a large screen to see exactly what's being clipped (and when the Simplified Article format doesn't capture it). Curious if you have further thoughts on how this could work on mobile.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

  6. Hi all,

We released Penultimate 6.2 to the App Store earlier today.

This version adds multitasking, iPad Pro & Apple Pencil support, and free paper for everyone!

    What's new in 6.2:

    • All papers are now free!
    • Now supports iOS Multitasking
    • Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity support (iPad Pro only)
    • More intuitive pen, highlighter, and color selectors
    • New full-screen paper selector when creating a note or switching paper types within a note
    • Added a grid view to the pages tray so you can see more of the pages within your note and quickly navigate to the page you want to edit
    • Notebooks look like notebooks instead of circles, and it's easier to identify business and shared notebooks
    • Added a page count to the cover of each note in a note list
    • Updated Penultimate Help screen (accessed from the writing screen)
    • UI improvements throughout the app
    • Updated Adonit SDK

Please let us know what you think.

You can download the Penultimate app from the App Store.

You can order the Jot Script 2 Evernote Edition Stylus from the Evernote Market.

    Cheers!

  7. This is a very anoying problem for me too.

I don't understand why Scannable is doing this and it's very irritating to have to edit every single phone number.

    Fix this please.

    Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem with phone numbers. Are you having the issue in the Evernote app or the Scannable app? We fixed the known phone number formatting issues in a prior release of Evernote.

    Thanks,

    Chuck
