  4. Hi all, Thank you for your continued feedback. We released v8.0.3 a short time ago to address several top issues including the crash on launch issue that many users were facing after updating from v7.x. After v8.0.2 was released, we realized that the app was crashing before the crash data was getting to us - so while we fixed our top known crasher, we unfortunately hadn't fixed the crash on launch that was affecting many users in the Evernote Community. After getting some crash logs directly off of devices from some affected users, we have fixed an issue with upgrading fr

  11. Hi all, We released Evernote for iOS 7.18 earlier today. Edit: We released 7.18.1 on Tuesday, 10/25, to fix a China log in issue. This release fixes our top crasher and a few bugs. 7.18 Notable fixes and improvements: Local PDF thumbnail generation caused a crash When in a note list, if a PDF thumbnail was not provided by the server, we tried to generate a thumbnail on the fly. This stopped working as expected in iOS 10, so we stopped trying to do that. We now will retrieve the service-based thumbnail, and when we can't get one you'll see the PDF i
  12. Hi Colin, Rebooting will not upgrade your OS (and I definitely don't recommend upgrading a device's OS while traveling), but it will clear some cruft that builds up in memory (from the OS and apps). Rebooting often helps the device just work better in general and will allow app updates get "unstuck" if they're not updating properly. Enjoy your time in New England. Cheers, Chuck
  13. Hi, Sometimes the OS will have trouble installing an update - this happens to many apps in the App Store. I would highly recommend fully rebooting your device as a first step for troubleshooting as that normally fixes the issue. In your case, it seems to have remedied itself. To see the version that you're running, simply tap the gear wheel at the top left of the home screen to take you to Settings. Scroll down (if necessary), and you'll see the version that you are running on that device. The latest version is 7.17.2.346774 (where 346774 is our own internal build number). Cheer
  14. Hi JMichael, Please see my response in that forum post you linked to. Cheers, Chuck
  15. Thanks for the feedback and for upgrading to Premium! Regarding simplify formatting for a selection - we'll look to see what we can do with this in a future release. Cheers, Chuck
  16. Hi JMichael, Thanks for the feedback. We'll look for ways to make improvements in future releases. In 7.16, we made tapping on the edges of images in the note editor much more responsive for cursor placement. To address your specific concern about the scanning feature and deleting images - you can do this directly from the camera. You can swipe an image up from the preview tray to delete. Alternately, you can tap on any image in the preview tray to view a bigger size, crop, rotate, or delete (by swiping up or tapping the trash can). I hope this helps. Cheers, Chuck
  17. Hi, iOS 10 replaced the "Define" menu option with a "Look Up" option. Tapping this option will open an overlay that includes dictionary definition, plus other results similar to a Spotlight search. You can read more about it here. Cheers, Chuck
  18. Hi all, We released v7.17.2 today that fixed a lot of our top crashes - including creating a new note while listening to music. iOS v10.0.2 had a fix for iMessage apps that were not loading, so hopefully that helps several of you. We're investigating the lagging typing issue that some users have encountered, especially on iPads. Thanks, Chuck
  19. We try hard not to inflict harm. Glad you're happy about the return of simplify formatting. Cheers, Chuck
  20. Hi all, We released Evernote for iOS 7.17.2 earlier today. This release includes an iMessage app improvement, the return of simplify formatting, and fixes our top crashes. 7.17.2 Notable fixes and improvements: iMessage app improvements Tapping the new native "Save to Evernote" button while viewing a shared note in the Messages app will now launch the note editor within the main Evernote app Within the editor in the main Evernote app, you can save the note as is, choose to move the note to a different notebook, add tags, or modify the title or content
  21. Thanks for the feedback, and great idea. I'll keep that in mind for future updates. Cheers, Chuck
  22. Hi, Here is a very crude mock-up of what the Home screen quick actions would look like with the widget actions at the top of the Widget: The OneNote widget hasn't been updated for iOS 10 yet - this is noticeable by the lack of Show More, Show Less OS-level widget controls in the top right corner. We will be looking at further widget updates in the future, and I do appreciate the feedback. Cheers, Chuck
  23. Hi Andrew, The app should not have needed a full resync to fix the offline notebook issue - there should have been a very quick note conversion on first launch of v7.17 or v7.17.1 to address this issue. I'm sorry to hear that this did not work properly for you. Thanks, Chuck
