    Ok,
I just noticed, you can create a check box with []+SPACE and [x]+SPACE to have a checkbox in the middle of a sentence and not in a format of bullet.

THANKS!  IT WORKED for what I need!!! Albeit a stupid work-around that shouldn't be necessary...

I am annoyed that the web version has auto-changed checkboxes to creating a line through them when you check them.  I see on desktop that you can choose checklist boxes versus what I use, but that's not an option in the web version I always use.

I use it as a grocery list, blank boxes. When I check them, it means buy that item. I uncheck as the items go into the cart. This new checklist format turns it grey and draws a line through it. Grr.

Tell your colleagues to copy all the notebooks to their own account(s).  Each one will then have their own copy of the content.  NB If one user makes a change to a note,  no-one else will see the change.

Hello @gazumped! I want to do what you say here and copy content, but "move", "copy", and "duplicate" are all greyed out.
    Details:
PC. I use EN online only, not Windows desktop version. My Project Manager is leaving. She created only one notebook, "Project Manager." The notes created within that notebook were only created to save me time of creating them myself (scanned items, research, etc).  The notes she shared to me are currently "edit & invite." But I want to absorb them into my notes now, not have to click into "shared folder." I would be fine with copying the 25 notes to then make them my own content, but I cannot access the feature. Help!?

    Update 9 Jan 2020:  .....

.... I seem to have found a solution to this problem. There is a caveat that I've not had this solution in place for long, but while I've had it in place it does seem to have done the trick.

The solution is to set your browser to send a "Do Not Track" request to websites. In Chrome this is in Settings > Privacy and Security; set it to On. In Firefox it's Options > Privacy & Security; set it to Always. Then you should restart your browser.

Since selecting this option in Chrome the problem has gone away for me. I'm hoping it's not just a coincidence.

From looking at network traffic I think the problem is with Google Analytics. This would explain why it happens in the the Beta web editor and the Classic web editor - it looks like Evernote introduced analytics to both editors when they added the Beta editor. And it's reasonable to assume that Google Analytics does respect the Do Not Track request, and therefore stops doing whatever thing interferes with the editor.

I bolded above in Nik's post ... I did what he suggested and IT WORKED! The issue has COMPLETELY gone away by turning on "Do Not Track," and has continued with zero issues for many days since.  NOT just a coincidence. Thanks so much @Nik Silver !

For those experiencing this issue, are you able to provide additional information regarding how to reproduce?

    Useful information:

    • Operating System WINDOWS 10 on HP Spectre
    • Client and client version (or browser and browser version for web)  CHROME Version 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit)
    • Content being edited. For example, does it happen when adding just text or maybe when adding attachments, tables, etc.? Just regular text, taking notes. Was FINE yesterday taking notes, no problem. Today returned to the same note to continue with notes, and it's doing the jumping, skipping, dropping text, and going to top every 1-2 minutes at the most, just as everyone here describes. I have closed EN completely and logged back in. I have closed and restarted computer. I have let it rest. I have typed extra fast, extra slow. Nothing helped. UNUSABLE TODAY.
    • Version of the editor - The web client should indicate if you're using the "beta editor" BETA EDITOR

I've seen the problem rarely myself, but not to the extent that the editor is unusable. I think there's something more going on here. Since it's across clients, it's likely a problem in our editor code, but we'll need help narrowing it down.
