About ApplianceJunk

  1. CamScanner OCR is done locally on the smart phone and stays with the document file/.pdf, correct? Verses Evernote OCR being done online for Premium members only and the OCR does not stay with the document so the OCR only continues to work well viewing it in Evernote as a premium member, correct?
  2. Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for it. Here is the link. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/evernote-web-clipper/pioclpoplcdbaefihamjohnefbikjilc?hl=en-US
  3. You need to login with your Google Adsense account, but here is the URL. https://www.google.com/adsense/app#myads-create-experiment Should also note that the Safari AdBlock extension can also keep the same google page from loading correctly. Nothing to do with EN, but maybe helpful to someone.
  4. Evernote Web Clipper 6.0.8.1 Safari Version 7.0.1 (9537.73.11) Took me a while to figure out what was going on. At first I thought Google Adsense was just having problem with the Experiments page the other night. But when it was still not working today I started doing some checking. Turned out that everything works as it should on the Google Adsense "Experiments" page after I disable the EN Web Clipper extension on Safari. Just thought I would share in case anyone else runs into such problems.
  5. I have much larger .pdf files that I share such as complete service manual and they display just fine. Not a big deal, just trying to learn the logic behind why it behaves like it does. I did submit a support ticket asking too.
  6. Here is a example. I don't consider this a very long or large .pdf file, yet no preview. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s259/sh/357fb7bb-96dc-4628-9469-4023c1759600/807619e2908f9a56961ab81f5c4483b3 Does not seem like a very practical recommendation. There is still always the option to download it first and then view it.
  7. When I share a link to a .pdf file sometimes the EN page in the web browser shows a preview for the .pdf along with the download link and sometimes it just shows the download link for the .pdf file. At first I thought it was not showing previews for larger files, but that does not seem to be the case. What determines if a preview is shown with a shared file link?
  8. Can't Web Clipper do the same thing Clearly does? I'm I missing something not using Clearly?
  9. On this page https://evernote.com/premium/ it says... But when you click the watch video link the end of the video title says (free and premium). I'm a premium member myself, but was wondering if I share a notebook with PDFs in it will the people I share it with have to have premium membership also in order to search inside the PDFs that are in my shared notebook? I just love how the EN searches inside the PDFs on my Macbook. When I search my notebook using EN on my iPhone does it also search inside the PDFs even though it only shows me the .pdf file on my phone and not what's in it at that moment?

  11. Wow, it was there all the time, lol... I'm using the Mac client. When I right click there is a option in the list to, Copy to notebook... So when you copy a note like that does it store a second copy on my hard drive or the EN server or what? Thanks,
