New Forum and Increased Spam Attacks

Since the new forum release, there has been an alarming increase in the amount of Spam. I hide countless numbers of spam every morning. 

1.) Is this sudden increase because so many of the international Evernote employees were fired, which resulted in Asian, European and East Coast USA customers bearing the burden of cleaning up the mess? And then the California Evernote employees wake up several hours later and find everything is nice and tidy.

2.) Does Evernote even realize that their customers are fighting the spammers? Does Evernote have any tracking mechanism to see their customers are using the moderate options?
