eldermist 0 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Feature Request: Fictional Atlas This is a feature that would be useful for authors and game designers. I am currently using Evernote for the creation of a fantasy RPG game. It's a great way to keep track of all of my notes and names, and all the rest that goes into developing your own fantasy world from scratch. Just imagine if Tolkien had had Evernote and been able to tag every instance he mentions Galadriel, etc. It would be even more useful to be able to import my own fantasy maps, and link every note to specific places on the map, just like you currently can see the Atlas. Although with a fantasy map the notes are relavant to the tagged area, not where they were written, of course. Thanks for your consideration.

Although with a fantasy map the notes are relavant to the tagged area, not where they were written, of course. There might be a way to do this now, but it might take a bit of work. In a web image editor, assign hotspot links on the map image just like you normally would when you want to assign links to other pages. But instead of the web page address ("http://) you would use the Evernote internal Note link address, like"evernote:///view/3010149/s27/b91c611e-95c5-4549-a67b-8327016b350b/b91c611e-95c5-4549-a67b-8327016b350b/" Since this requires HTML code, you probably need to create a web page, and then clip it, or import it into Evernote. I have not done this -- it's only an idea, so it may not work. But it might be worth a try if you're already skilled at web image editing. Good luck, and please let us know how it goes if you try this.
