Evernote Reminders

I'm new to Evernote, and I was wondering if the reminders can be attached to individual items within a note - like on a checklist rather than on the entire note. For example, let's say I'm creating a to-do list for the day and I'm setting it up as one checklist note. Only two items on my list are time sensitive. Is it possible to attach the reminders just to those two items individually or do I have to create two separate notes for them?

No. One reminder per note.

There are 3rd party applications that can harvest the individual items in your checklists... and from there you can set reminders for each of them. Swipes for iOS is one such app.
