ChristopherKTom 8
OS: Windows 10 (Technical Preview, build 9879) I just upgraded from 5.7.1 to 5.7.2. I have IOBit's Uninstaller on my PC and during the uninstall/install process, it showed numerous files that were left over during the uninstall process, see attachment. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,349 Posted November 21, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted November 21, 2014 Looks like IOBits uninstaller wants you to reboot to delete those files because they're currently in use by Windows. Evernote might still have been running when you started the uninstall process. Link to comment
ChristopherKTom 8
1. Evernote completed the uninstall and install process successfully. 5.7.1 was uninstalled (although there were leftover files) and 5.7.2 was installed.2. IOBit Uninstaller never asked me to reboot and was able to remove the leftover files without a reboot. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,349 Posted November 24, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted November 24, 2014 So the (Reboot to Delete) comments above were superfluous? It's not exactly a secret that uninstalling any software tends to leave 'some' to 'a lot of' files hanging around allegedly to make it easier to reinstall the original version if you need to. Uninstalling completely tends to require additional features like (presumably) IOBit or Revo Uninstaller, which is the preferred steam cleaner around here.
