Sending email to default notebook defect?

Frank Blome

Idea

Hi,

I am working with emails and Evernote frequently snd it works like a charm, but now I stumbled over a very simple case. I have defined in EN a default notebook, where everything should be created in by default. But when I send an email without the @Notebook info, it doesn't go into the default notebook. It goes randomly in any notebook - sometimes even in the default notebook ;-)

I'd like to use the default folder a bit more. Any idea? I am using EN 5.6.2 (450946 Direct) on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite (14A389)

Thanks,

Frank

There are options to file to "selected or default notebook" where the "selected" notebook is the current focus in Evernote,  or to "specify clip destination".  Clippers also refer to 'Smart Filing' where notes are tagged and filed as seem appropriate to the content.  If you check Options/ Preferences for any such references it may help...

I was,  but the two activities may be connected.  I also remember another thread where someone pointed to settings related to emails here - https://www.evernote.com/PersonalSettings.action (look for 'auto filing')

Also see https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/39521667 which suggests that 'smart filing' is active unless you specify a notebook..
