I don't understand why the dropdown window that appears when you click the menu bar elephant is so sadly limited.
Without the ability to at least specify the notebook and tags of a new note, this feature is useless to me.
IIRC, clicking the elephant used to produce a menu with things like "paste clipboard to new note". And I think it just created a new standard note window, ready to accept the input of metadata like notebook, tags, author, URL etc.
Could somebody explain the decision to cripple this feature?
