Hi - there's lots of help in the forums for sync issues..  essentially:

• internet traffic - make sure you have a connection and keep trying
• account - check for Trash and Conflict notebook contents and fix/ delete
• note - check the Activity Log (Evernote > Help)
• app - uninstall/ reinstall app with Revo
• last resort - refresh database (but check the forums for more instructions and backup everything first)

Content can be a problem because sometimes notes can become corrupted. Don't ask me why, I am just a user - stuff happens.

 

In the activity log you are looking for errors associated with particular notes. If you don't feel able to troubleshoot by yourself, you may be better off submitting a ticket to the support desk.

 

Why do you say Revo uninstaller is unlikely? Using that has got many people (myself included) out of difficulties. It is not difficult to do, but you do need a copy of the last known good version of the Evernote installation file. Is there any reason why you are not using version 5? I don't recall the last good version of 4.x, but maybe others will be able to help.

 

Refreshing/rebuilding the database is actually not difficult - just takes a bit of time preparing to do it and actually doing it. Most important is making a back-up copy of the database (.exb file). All you have to do is ask for help.

I specifically said the droid the version I said above. I did not say evernote was version. Just making sure there isn't any misunderstanding.

 

so did a test with a new note

 

so when i click the sync button on win7 on the top bar, it doesnt sync

 

when i click the sync link at the left bottom corner on droid, it works

 

so what's the likely cause of the problem then?

I'd blame a faulty interossiter.  If the Android syncs but the Windows machine doesn't,  it suggests that there's something amiss with the Windows machine.
