Why am I receiving ads if I'm a premium subscriber?

Today when clipping a web page using the web clipper I was presented with an advertisement in the clipper: "Invite Friends - Get Premium."  But I am already a premium subscriber, as I have been for 5 years.  

 

One of the benefits of paying for premium is that we were promised no advertisements.  Now apparently evernote has gone back on that promise.  Very disappointing.

Were we? I couldn't find any mention of it in the list of premium features. I remember that one of the benefits was you could turn off the ads that were displayed in the desktop app if you wanted. 

 

I got that notice within the last day or two. I clicked on the "x" to close it and haven't seen it since. 

 

Evernote staff do read these posts so your concerns will be seen.

This also recently appeared for me. I am also premium. Dismaying at the time though it may have been, after dismissing the window that "tip" has not appeared since. Not elegant, but not a big deal in my opinion.
